Debut: Rally in support of UNBSJ

Culture Hub will make its debut with coverage of the rally in support of University of New Brunswick staying in Saint John. This peaceful protest takes place Monday September 17th at 1:00PM in King Square.

The original intention of this project was strictly to cover arts, culture and recreation in Saint John. The idea of a polytechnic institute replacing NBCC and UNBSJ is just so ridiculous that we cannot pass up this opportunity to speak up. Personally I am a proud volunteer, employee, and student at UNBSJ. As Dr Everitt pointed out on Wednesday, some may argue that the student body, faculty, and staff are reacting out of self interest. To us it is more than a means to a degree or an institute which pays our salary. It is our livelihood and passion which is at risk.

I cannot express how important this campus is to myself and others across the province. I encourage you to visit the websites below and witness the many people who are speaking out against this merger.
