Announcement

For the next 10 months, I will be reporting my experience as an exchange student at the University of Karlstad in Sweden. This project will encompass all forms of media (video, text, pictures and maybe a podcast or two). The primary focus will be the local music scene in southern Sweden.

The first post will be up within a week.

Artists on Vinyl is a silent auction for CFHM 107.3FM where artists of all caliber make something truly unique using vinyl records. CFMH is hosting a final-bidding-party at Bean Books starting at 7PM. DJ Hawk, recently voted best DJ in the port city, we'll be bringin' the funk! (literally ... he owns a wide collection of funk music)

CBC Radio 3 is running a nation wide poll looking for the best music venue in Canada. George's Fabulous Roadhouse in Sackville has made it to the Top 10!! If you haven't been voting already, please do so immediately! You can cast one vote per day. If you don't have an account with CBC3, registration only take 30 seconds. Voting closes Wednesday Feb 25th.

CultureHub has been forced into hiatus due to some computer problems (damaged hard dive). Once this issue has been resolved, you can expect to see a couple of new episodes:
1) The Saint John Music Awards at A-Kord
2) The World 3on3 Street Hockey Championship

The Faculty of Arts at UNBSJ will be hosting a night of short films on Thursday December 6th. They have invited me to screen short compilation of all my footage covering reaction to the PSEC Report. Come check it out.

I will be postponing my regular radio show, The Roots of Rock, for a radio edition of CultureHub. I will be playing audio from Monday's Q&A session with Dr Miner and Mr. L'Ecuyer.

Culture Hub will make its debut with coverage of the rally in support of University of New Brunswick staying in Saint John. This peaceful protest takes place Monday September 17th at 1:00PM in King Square.
